I am beyond excited today! I'll get into why in just a few minutes.
Today was one of those days. It was so crazy, ridiculous, busy. We left the house at 8 am to drop D'kiah off at school, and went to the grocery store. Followed that by the eye doctor for both Ted and I. Then, we had to go to the dentist.. Ted finally got to try part of his dentures to check the bite. They have to make sure it lines up or something.. I had to have a deep cleaning.. What fun that is!
We went to pick up Kiah from my sister in law, since she picked her up from school for us.. I love getting to stop by and see them for a few mins. I got to love on my niece and nephew a little bit too, which is always a plus!
The fun of course didn't stop there, I had to go to emissions to get the van tested, get new tabs and stop at the post office and the grocery store again!!! By the time we got home, it was already past 5:30. I definitely didn't make it to the gym to workout, but decided to take our poor dog who was alone all day out for a run. I leashed him up and took him out for 2 miles. My pace was awful, but I'm not too used to running on the road yet. I do most of my running at the gym, and the road is proving to be a much tougher thing!
But, when I got home and logged onto the computer, I went to my favorite blog.. It's called Runs for Cookies.. This woman is so super motivational to me! She started out at my weight, and is the same height as me. She has lost 130 lbs through running and counting Weight Watchers points (just like me) and has kept it off for years now! Well she has this post called Motivational Mondays, and to my extreme delight she had posted about me!!! There are other people in the post as well, since there are so many amazing achievements in there.. But, it was just so exciting!! If you want to check it out this is the link: http://www.runsforcookies.com/2015/02/motivational-monday-99.html?showComment=1424747324180#c7313416982615677707
I'm feeling so good about my journey right now. I lost 2.4 lbs this week, for a total of 6 in the past couple weeks. I'm being really consistent and not letting anything deter me. Whenever I would have a meal that wasn't perfect, I would fall off and just binge. Now, I just pick up where I left off. I schedule those meals into my points, and budget the points to fit my activities. It really is a much more positive experience this time. I am in it for the long haul, no quick fixes, no schemes.. Just working my ass off!
